Military Chaplains: Serving Those Who Serve
LCMS chaplains and service members share how military chaplains shepherd the souls in their care.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not works, lest anyone should boast.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
What is this place? It’s where you meet God through Word and Sacrament. God, who revealed Himself in Jesus Christ. It’s where you’ll experience the absolute joy of the freedom you have in His forgiveness. It’s where your consciences are cleansed by His Word; it’s where you gain the confidence to live with strength.
In these times of isolation and danger, we give thanks to God who tells us, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” We may not be able to understand the why, but we know that God is in our midst working to sustain us. His Word is never broken; His promises are sure. We can do all things through Him who strengthens and loves us. Join us in the Joy and Peace we have in Jesus Christ.
St. John’s mission is to share the Good News of the gift of complete forgiveness of all sins and guilt through Jesus in the Word and Sacrament ministry at our beautiful eighty-plus-year-old Lutheran Church. Also, we are sharing Jesus in our childcare and preschool centers at four locations throughout the Salt Lake valley.
